Fall Popcorn is right around the corner. Please take advantage of the trainings we have placed to ensure your units have the best outcome. Thank you to Mike Malloy who will help with Chairing this years Heart of Milwaukee Popcorn Sale. Goal setting is an excellent way to excite the kids to aim high. 

District Program Kickoff
Don't forget to attend the most important event of the year. The District Program Kickoff being held on Thursday, August 14th at 7:00 p.m.   We will give you all of the information needed for a successful school night recruitment, information on all of the upcoming events throughout the council and tons of support from experienced Scouters.  All units should have a representative in attendance.

Scouting the Zoo
Thank you to all who participated in Scouting the Zoo, what a success! The Pinewood Derby Race was fun and filled with great excitement. Congratulations to all our winners!

Pinewood Derby Race
I am pleased to announce the Heart of Milwaukee will have a Pinewood Derby Race in Spring of 2009. Location and date will be announced in our next Compass Article. Special thanks to Frank Panajis who has agreed to Chair the Race.

New Leader Essentials Training
As we start to get more boys signed up and more parents involved in the program, we need to get them trained.  We have an excellent training team in our council that loves to show new parents how easy it is to get involved.
